Moving, moving, moving . . .

Mom and Dad have to keep their eyes on me at all times now because I am on the move. Some of my new tricks include
rolling over

and wiggling across the room.

Just when I think I've gone as far as I can go,

I discover a new direction to turn!
After a little while I need a break, so I do what every baby does . . . lay back and suck my thumb!

I'm 5 months old!

Hello - sorry I've been away for a bit. The last couple of weeks have been very busy. I watched my first triathlon at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. I didn't really know what was going on . . . but the weather was nice and I was comfy in my stroller. In between naps I cheered daddy on.

Also, I turned 5 months old. To celebrate my big day, I ran my first 10k (and by run I mean I slept while mom and dad pushed me).

A photo finish! Luckily, we didn't take that guy out

Seriously, I was beat. All I could think about was breakfast. From now on you will be able to keep track of my miles . . . 6.2 so far.

My life's not all about race events, I relax at the beach too.

This month, I got all dressed up and ready to go

Then, I took my first official swim in the Pacific Ocean
I am definitely doing that again.

Last week, I had a very special visit with grandmom and grandpop Gallagher. I really enjoyed their company, especially story time.

I showed them my very fine motor skills with my new ball.

If I could just pick it up . . .

So much fun!!!!
That's it for now. See you later

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!!!

November 5th is my Mommy's birthday. She is turning 29! I am not even five months so that seems old but I don't really know yet. She is still making fun of Daddy who has a couple of years on her but, she is now in the final countdown to 30!

I have not been around that long but Mommy has already done SO MUCH for me it is crazy. She was there at the beginning and didn't have a lot of help and besides some outfits that I would rather forget (See Elmer Fudd picture below) she has been awesome. She has taken me to the beach, swimming, running, across the country on a plane and to so many cool places.

But my favorite is times like in this picture when I am all tuckered out at the end of the day, Mommy is always there to snuggle and take care of me.

I hope she has a great day. She is one special Mom. I love you Mom!

Happy Halloween

My first Halloween was so much fun!

I wore a "spooky" outfit.
A shirt from Grammy
And a bib from Great Aunt Linda and Uncle Ron

My friends from daycare and I had a parade through the hospital where I was born and then a party with games and coloring. What do you think of my costume?

I also went trick-or-treating! My first stop was Aunty Denise and Uncle Jeff's house. I loved their jack-o-lantern!
I couldn't stop smiling!

I also made it to Aunty Brooke and Uncle Paul's house - what a treat! Pictures from my second stop will be added shortly . . .

On October 16, I turned 4 months old. I visited the doctor again. I usually don't mind, but this time she gave me two shots . . . ouch!

I am presently weighing in at 14.6 lbs. and 26.5 inches long.

Let me show you how big I'm getting . . .
A little bit closer . . .

PERFECT!!!

My trip to Maui

On Columbus Day weekend we went to Maui. We drove on a long road called "the road to Hana." After a long drive, we arrived at the Hotel Hana - I liked our room . . . especially the bed.

I could get used to this! Where are mom and dad sleeping?

We also went on a hike to a 400 foot waterfall. Along the hike we saw

big trees; a bamboo forest;

the Hana coast;

and finally, the waterfall!

I LOVED the waterfall!

After the hike, I needed a little R&R.

A refreshing swim and lounging by the pool.

We are home now and I am gearing up for my first Halloween. I have a party and parade at daycare and then trick or treating in Kailua. See you later . . .

I enjoy long walks on the beach . . .

I want to share with you one of my FAVORITE activities . . . long walks on Kailua Beach. At least one night a week we take a walk on the beach in our town.

I usually test out the water - with a little assistance of course.

I told Mommy that I was ready to dive in on my own, but she insisted on holding my hands - oh jeez!
I guess that I kind of like the attention . . . sshh, don't tell Mommy or Daddy!

Arizona!!

Shortly after Daddy arrived home, we took a trip to Arizona. Mommy had to work so Daddy and I hung out A LOT!! Unfortunately, because it was just me and Daddy, I don't have many pictures to share with you. Here's one of me, though, in my first hotel room.

Luckily it wasn't all business and Mommy was able to sight see a bit too. We went to Sedona - WOW!

It was beautiful, but HOT. We spent the day walking around . . . well, I wasn't walking, Daddy carried me. I enjoyed my first apple festival where I saw an orchard and barn where the apples are sorted. We also enjoyed the "live entertainment," which turned out to be a hillbilly band. Their encore performance included a rendition of "Sweet Home Alabama" where they hummed the hit, clearly having forgotten the words.

It was a great day, but by the afternoon I was totally worn out and needed a nap!

Reunion with Daddy!

After a LONG summer for Mommy taking care of everything around the house Daddy finally stopped playing around with his friends and decided to come home and help out a little around the house. Here is a picture of our first encounter.

It is nice to have Dad around. I now have two people waiting on me hand and foot. Not a bad life, especially in Hawaii. I highly suggest it to everyone.

Things have been much better around here since Daddy returned and I have gotten to get out around the island a little and experience some different things. With Dad around to carry all my beach gear Mom finally got to take me to the beach and introduce me to the Ocean. Here is a picture of my first day at the beach at the Ko Olina Resort and my sporty "Elmer Fud" hat!

As you can see by my expression in the picture the jury is still out on this hat but Mommy likes it and since I can't dress myself yet I will have to roll with it.

I am just starting to catch up on the adventures and learning how to use my hands so I will take it slow for now. I will update more soon......
